Thigh Lift

Benefits of a

Thigh Lift

Many women feel insecure because of their thighs; some find them too large, whereas others suffer wrinkling due to aging, genetics, weight loss, sun exposure, and other similar causes. If you’re like them, you’ve probably tried all sorts of exercises, creams, and supplements to change your appearance. None of these are as effective as thigh lift surgery. Thigh lift surgery allows you to shape your thighs so that they are in proportion with the rest of your body. Whether you prefer your thighs shapely or slim, you can get the thighs you want through surgery.

Results: What and When?

A thigh lift begins with creating an incision from your groin to the back of your thigh. Depending on how much skin and fat needs to be removed, the size of the incision will vary. The procedure takes roughly three hours to complete. After your operation, you may experience difficulty sitting and bending down. Because of this, most surgeons will advise you to limit your movement and rest for one to two weeks.

Thigh Lift

What is a thigh lift?

A thigh lift, also called a medial thigh lift, is a surgical procedure that removes excess fat and skin from the inner thighs. It is usually performed simultaneously with liposuction.

How long will the operation take?

Although operating time may vary depending on your medical history, genetics, and current condition, thigh lifts generally take around two to three hours. During this time, you will most likely be sedated and under general anesthesia.

How long will it take me to fully recover?

Bruising, soreness, swelling, and discomfort are expected after the surgery. Because of this, your surgeon will ask you to rest and wear a compression bandage to alleviate the swelling. While most patients can get up in three days, most surgeons advise a recovery period of two weeks for better results.

Will I end up with a scar?

Yes, like most surgical procedures, thigh lifts leave scars, although these generally fade overtime. The size and appearance of the scar is largely a function of genetics.

Is the procedure risky?

As with any surgical procedure, a thigh lift comes with certain risks such as infection, bleeding, and seroma. However, these risks are controlled and well tolerated.
